review: too faced sweet peach palette

I have always been a huge fan of the Too Faced eyeshadow palettes. I remember when I worked at Sephora and someone came in for a Naked palette, I would always bring them over to Too Faced and point out the fact that you get more shadows, a more versatile palette and better quality shadows for $3 less.

When I saw the sneak peek of this palette on trendmood, I had a small panic attack and then made it my mission to get one as soon as it came out. Needless to say, that wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I remember when the Bon Bon palette came out, I don't even think it sold out, but this Sweet Peach palette has been sold out multiple times and is still—over a month later—hard to find.

Get the Best Results: With all shadows, I always recommend using an eyeshadow primer but I especially loved this one with the Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer and the Benefit Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer. I found that when I didn't use a primer, the shadows did bunch up in my crease. I found it best to set the primer with the bone-colored shade in this palette for the best blendability. With a primer that was set, these shadows lasted well over 8 hours for me.

Pros:
- Incredible blendability. They're basically butter.
- 18 shades (versus the Chocolate Bar palettes which have 16).
- Such versatility! So many beautiful neutrals, but also great smokey shades all in one palette making it the perfect palette to travel with.
- The smell!! I kept this in my makeup bag while traveling to NYC a few weekends ago, and my entire bag smelt like peaches! I love it. While I still love the chocolate scent better, this scent totally measures up.
- The packaging. Well, Too Faced never disappoints with packaging, but I really love how summery this baby is.
- Pigmentation.

Cons:
- Transition shades. For my skin tone, I wish there was a transition color between Georgia (since it's a bit too pink for every look and Puree (it's a little too dark for my pale skin tone. Sometimes I find myself reaching for another palette for the perfect transition, but there are great transition shades for certain looks.

Overall Rating: 8/10
